How it's made:
Stoneware slabs were colored with red & black underglazes, then a tool was dragged over them making the striped. Circles were cut out and then embedded in a plain stoneware slab with a rolling pin. The bowl shape was cut out and left to dry. A round foot was added. After the bisque fire, a clear glaze was used, then fired again.
Dish is food-safe, and it's best to hand wash dish when needed.
